MASONRY STAINING CASE STUDIES
BACKGROUND
Masonry Cosmetics has been taking photos for years of the permanent brick staining system, and had created 'case studies' of jobs before I began at the company. I was asked to revamp the vision and layout of the case studies, for a more old-school case files look.
CHALLENGES
The largest challenge coming into it was having little knowledge of the industry and terminology used. I conducted extensive research on buzz words, key terms, and what the competition was also doing.
VISION
I created evidence map pages with sticky note-looking graphics and loose papers, while showcasing the pictures on a poloroid-looking design. For the online versions, I recreated the look of manilla envelopes, while using actual envelopes for the print versions.
OUTCOME
While quantitative data is unknown, the presence of the old case studies vs the revamped ones that I designed, have increased our image against the competitors. At the present moment, I have created over 60 case studies for Masonry Cosmetics.
